NY has been getting slammed with extremely cold weather and lot and lots of snow.  I have had to miss work but that gave me some time to sew sew sew!!  I finished Quilter's Candy Shop Quilt Along January Hearts project and I am very happy with it.  I embroidered it with my Singer Quintet and used my Pfaff CV to do decorative stitching.  To finish it off I embellished it with a few flower buttons!  I think it turned out pretty cute.

Hello Bloggers!!!! I'm back!  I know its been several months since my last blog post and for 2015 I promise to be more consistent.  I will let you know that I post daily on my Facebook Page www.facebook.com/quiltnstitchny.  I am also still running my Facebook Monthly Quilt along projects.  If you are interested in joining here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1452738218302566.  It's a lot of fun and the best part is you have a finished project every month!  I had a great time seeing all my finished 2014 projects hanging proudly aound my home!  If you want to join and just follow along that's completely fine as well.  No one is obligated to do the monthly projects.  Sometimes it's just fun to see what the project is and then see pictures of those who have completed them as well.  2014 was a great year!  I have some of my merchandise at a wonderful little boutique in Wappinger Falls, NY called Created With Love Boutique and I did a couple of craft shows at the end of the year!  I will be coming out with a NYC themed line of merchandise which I will also be selling on my website.  This year I am excited to announce that I will finally be teaching quilting to small groups!  I am super excited and look forward to coming up with new items and hosting my monthly quilt along. So there is a lot in the works!  I am also determined to complete some UFO's I have stored in bins.  I have about 6 quilt tops that are complete and need to be sandwiched and quilted!  I have completed four so far this month so I am on a roll!

Hello Bloggers!  It has been a long time since I have posted on my blog.  I have been extremely busy to say the least.  I do post to my FB just about every day so if you are interested in what I am working on and doing and you don't see a recent post here, check me out on my FB page at www.facebook.com/quiltnstitchny.  I just finished my Book Shelf Quilt top which was my Sept-Oct Monthly quilt along project which I currently host on Face Book as well.  Now I am in search of the perfect backing fabric and this one will be all ready to be hung.  I am keeping this one!

Hey everyone!  Happy Monday!  I had such a hectic weekend but I got a little bit of everything done including a little bit of sewing. I sewed 2 blocks for my monthly quilting class and have 2 more to go.  I have to be honest.  These were not my favorite to work with as they have 2.5 inch squares and I have come to the conclusion that I really don't like working with triangles or small pieces.  But I continue to challenge myself and tackle them so these were my final results.  This is the homework for month 3 so I have some catching up to do since I skipped month 2 in its entirety! Does anyone else feel like I do about working with small pieces.  I admire people who make postage stamp quilts. That would take a whole lot of patience from me. lol

I finished my June Monthly Project - "Dimensional Flowers".  These monthly projects have become so much fun!  I created a group on Facebook if anyone is interested in joining. It's called Quilter's Candy Shop Monthly Quilt Along.  Every month I will post a new project to be completed for that month.  I supply the pattern for free and once you are done just post your pictures because Show & Tell is the best part! 

The colors are much darker but I do liked the way it turned out.

I decided to embellish my wallhaning with buttons and of course my signature!
