Great morning everyone! Hope everyone had a fun, relaxing and creative weekend. The weather in NY was gorgeous, FINALLY! Old man winter doesn't seem to want to leave our neck of the woods. The grass is starting to get green, the trees are finally budding leaves and the cherry blossom trees are looking gorgeous! I had a busy weekend as always doing house work, yard work, quilting, and working on revamping my website which will be under my new name Quilter's Candy Shop. So far it is looking great! I even got a few things together for the Mother's Day Mystery Gift Giveaway! I am having sew much fun getting the gift together, I can't wait for the lucky winner to receive it! Anyway so I worked a little more on my rooster block. Added a little more decorative stitching. Kind of looks like chicken feet. :) Hopefully I will be finished with it soon so I can hang it in my kitchen. I used leftover fabric from a valance I made in a class sometime ago so it will match perfectly! The backing is super cute and I will be binding it with black and white polka dot fabric.
I also finished my Star Block row for my "Around the Strip Quilt". I have 3 rows completed so I am all caught up and will begin Row #4 this weekend or next. Row #1 was the Pinwheel Blocks and Row#2 was the Bear Claw blocks
Close up of my blocks
Star Blocks (made using the Quilt in A Day - Flying Geese Ruler). Iif you don't have this ruler in your supply it is a must have. Gives you perfect geese every time! Love love love this ruler!
Pin Wheel Block (made using Thangles). First time using Thangles and I loved it!
Bear Claw Block (made using Triangle Paper). Personally I wasn't too crazy about this method. I cheated and went back to using Thangles.
Hope everyone has a fabulous Monday!
