Hello Bloggers!   Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!  Mine was busy as usual.  Saturday was gorgeous so we had a BBQ and entertained a longtime friend of ours who hasn't been to our home in over 12 years!! It was nice reminiscing, sure did bring back a lot of childhood memories!  In the mist of all the entertaining, house work, and errands I did manage to accomplish my sewing/crating goals for the weekend.  I finished my Month #1 Blocks for the Block of the Month quilt I am making called "House Warming Party"!  My first block came out half and inch too small due to sketchy instructions and I ran out of the border fabric so I hope the shop has a fat quarter I can buy!  All in all they came out pretty and it is made up of 2.5 inch squares so I did pretty good!  We are using the strip it fabric so the half square triangles are not really half square triangles.  The way the fabric is cut gives the illusion of a half square triangle (pretty cool right!).  Below are pics of my work in progress!
