I made a very simple but cute pin cushion for the May Quilting board Pin Cushion swap and my partner received it today! So glad it didn't get ruined in transit!
Below is the pin cushion and goodies I received from my May swap partner.
I love anything with angels so I just loved it! The angel stick pin is also adorable!

Hello Bloggers! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! Mine was busy as usual. Saturday was gorgeous so we had a BBQ and entertained a longtime friend of ours who hasn't been to our home in over 12 years!! It was nice reminiscing, sure did bring back a lot of childhood memories! In the mist of all the entertaining, house work, and errands I did manage to accomplish my sewing/crating goals for the weekend. I finished my Month #1 Blocks for the Block of the Month quilt I am making called "House Warming Party"! My first block came out half and inch too small due to sketchy instructions and I ran out of the border fabric so I hope the shop has a fat quarter I can buy! All in all they came out pretty and it is made up of 2.5 inch squares so I did pretty good! We are using the strip it fabric so the half square triangles are not really half square triangles. The way the fabric is cut gives the illusion of a half square triangle (pretty cool right!). Below are pics of my work in progress!

Here are some pics of my clients quilt. I named it River Rocks and took some outdoor shots as I plan on printing a book next year with quilts I have finished in 2014! Can't wait to have a whole book put together!

Hope everyone had a beautiful Mother's Day yesterday! It was a gorgeous day in New York so that alone made me very happy! Sew it was quite a hectic weekend but I managed to finish my May swap partner's needle case as well as my clients quilt. I delivered it to him today and he was extremely happy with his one of a kind quilt and I surprised him with two matching pillow cases so for me his reaction was priceless. I love when my customers are happy. For me this makes me extremely happy and always reminds me how much I love quilting! It brings such joy to everyone! I love it!
The theme for May's swap was flowers so this is what I made. |
